It might take me all day - but I might go to the store today and just give it a try. Your cottage cheese looks very yellow - do you have your own eggs?
Good eye Connie! It's amazing how yellow the yolks of a fresh egg are compared to store bought.
I could not find any of the pressed cottage cheese. They said they quit carrying it some time ago. Decided to just make it with just the apples - it will not be as yummy, but it should still be good.
Actually I couldn't find it either Took regular cottage cheese and put it in a strainer for about 1/2 hour and let it rip out the whey. Figured it was the same thing.
Another customer and I talked about doing that. After I got home I decided to use vanilla pudding and just do a layered dessert - adding the apples and puddings after the pastry had been baked and was cold. I will split the pastry into another layer and put the goodies in between the new layers.
I have company coming tonight - unexpectedly so guess it was a good thing I did something.
