Well,I plan on doing that too however,I need to get going on my Christmas list.I have so many gifts to make and so little time.

This pattern has become my go to for socks. It has a Celtic knot going up the front and a seed stitch wrapping around your leg that gives a snug but comfortable fit.

The pattern calls for 4 repeats on the knot, but,I like my socks knee high in the winter so I do 6 repeats and make a longer cuff. I use fingering weight yarn so the socks fit comfortably in your shoes.
Since I'm ahead of schedule on the socks perhaps I should do a giveaway?Would you like to have a pair for your Christmas stash? Leave me a comment for a chance to win a pair. You have all been so encouraging and supportive that someone should get a little something and I think a pair of socks would be just the thing. I'll have Bitty pick a winner a week from tomorrow.
Good luck to everyone........................said the hobbit

Bitty if you don't pick me then I'll bring Oskar into the house late late at night when nobody is awake.......Those are really pretty Mom...:)
It's never too hot to knit. Especially when you do it so well. Your socks are beautiful as always. I have never owned a pair of hand knit socks and would be so proud to win.
lovely socks! and thanks for the tip about the pattern--i'll try it out on some new green-and-grey superwash that I just received.
I could so use a pair of your beautiful socks! Thanks for doing this giveaway!
In my opinion it is never too hot to knit. I have knitted for a couple of hours today :-) Your socks look great! I would be honored to wear them.
Thank you for visiting my blog! I'm so glad I found yours...will be putting it in my reader :)
How generous of you to be giving away handknit socks! I can never get enough of them because I love them so!!!
Please, please pick me! I need a lovely pair of expertly knit socks by me side to encourage me on my own journey to learn to knit socks.
I found some Fingerling yarn at SCRAP recently that will be perfect for a practice pair as it only cost me $.50! Now I just need to cast on and begin!
I'm in...for sure. Tell Bitty that I love cats. Is she an ethical cat? Maybe some bribery might work...
I don't think it's to hot to knit, I'm working on a vest right now, if it's too hot to garden I sit in the shade with my knitting and a cold drink, I love it.
Nevermind! I see I was too late to enter! Too bad!
I can still enter? I hope so! Theoretically I could knit my own socks, but it would take four years and my sanity would be shot!
(I'm catching up on my reading!) Beautiful socks -- I saw them being born. :o)
Perhaps I would Like a Pair?
Maybe a sage to accent the kilt?
And Christmas is still on the way?
Well perhaps I might.
