had this leftover yarn. Not quite enough to make a set of fingerless gloves,so she is calling them her port and starboard gloves. Now how creative is that. She has just started her first blog.Click on her name and welcome her to the community with a comment.
This is Rosy. She's a first time knitter. I couldn't get her to look up,she was afraid to drop a stitch. We put together a starter kit of pattern needles and cotton yarn and she is off and running on her dishcloth. I think she'll be a regular.

This is Bitty, she's just waiting for someone to drop the ball. Don't count on her bringing it back...................said the hobbit

Sounds like a fun group! I love the creativity of the fingerless gloves. Great idea and good luck to your new knitter. I know she is going to fall in love with knitting! :-)
I must do more to either put a group together or find a group. You gals seem to have so much fun and all the while you are learning.
Your soup has my mouth watering :)I've never made brocolli soup. The gloves look amazing!!
This last storm missed us altogether, we were supposed to get 1-3", and so life went on as normal. Not that 3" would have been anything to write home about.
